Rain Rain Go away!

After having a solid week of cloud cover and rain here in Virginia, we finally got some sunlight! I ceased this opportunity to go out to one of my favorite State Parks and starting doing land and cloudscapes! The park was wonderfully abandoned and i had nothing but the stunning scenery around me and the soundtrack of the waves crashing on shore.

Reflections from the retreating tide!

Same water tower as above.

So, I spontaneously left my house and drove as quickly as i could to Grandview State Park when i saw the clouds breaking up in the sky and creating sunlight. This was the first immediate location i thought of because of its proximity and all the aspects it had to offer.

One of my personal favorites.

The sun setting created a fantastic shadow line! This is the result!

Getting cold and wet for photography! No sacrafice is too great to get a shot.

While I was there I tried to get many different angles, of different shots, including getting in the water of the frigid North Atlantic Beach to use the waves as leading lines. During which time a decent sized waved hit me and I felt my sweater pocket feel extremely light! That was the result of my 70-200 falling out of my pocket into the water.

Sun beginning to set, caught this wonderful Crepuscular Ray emitted off the clouds!

Day came to a close with a puddle on the ground and the beautiful orange sky!
