This past weekend, after sitting at home bored and alone, I decided to just get up and go somewhere with my 2 friends, Ken Barrett and Lani Tougher. After a brief search on the internet, I decided I wanted to see the beautiful caverns that Virginia has to offer.
Hanging out at the Hotel Bar waiting for our room to get ready.
When we all decided to leave it was a little too late to do anything, So we decided to spend the night in Washington DC, walking around doing night photography, with a Galaxy S7 because I left my camera in my room.

After our sudden overnight trip in DC in the morning we proceeded to the caverns. The first cavern was the Skyline Caverns. Personally my favorite of the 2 because it has a little unique twist that Luray did not have.
Into the depths of Skyline Caverns.
This is one of those rare quirky things that I love about this cave. Anthodite Crystal, This crystal only exists in 2 other caves in the US and 1 in France. The other thing that makes this cave so unique is the Pesudanophthalmus Petrunkevitchi Cave Beetle, only found in one other cave in the US and the other found in Germany. Unfortunately, the 8 that were found here in the cave all died when removed for studies at the Smithsonian.
Rainbow Alley
Luray Caverns were by far larger and they had some of the most stunning formations I have ever seen.

I enjoyed my time with my friends doing these little adventures. During the holiday season when I have more time I'll go on more adventures and take photographs in the process :D
